Texas Music Education Luminary Rick Ghinelli Joins CutTime

Ghinelli will serve as Regional Director overseeing the company’s western market expansion

St. Augustine, FL (May 31, 2023) - CutTime, LLC, a leading provider of fine arts program management software, has named Rick Ghinelli as its first Regional Director to help scale and drive growth across the western half of the US and Canada. Rick joins CutTime after a decade with Conn Selmer’s Division of Education, where he was Director of Music Administration Outreach and Educational Support Manager, Southwest Region and provided customer support for their instrument inventory system.

Rick has devoted himself to music education, serving in many capacities throughout his career, including middle school band director, assistant principal and principal positions, and as a Director of Performing and Visual Arts for the Spring Independent School District (Spring ISD) in Houston, TX. He also served as President of the Texas Music Administrators Conference (TMAC) and is the recipient of several distinguished awards including, the Distinguished Alumnus in Music Education from the University of Houston, the Lifetime Administrator Achievement Award from the Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA) and the 2022 Keynote Award from the Foundation for Music Education.

Rick graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Music Education and later earned his Masters of Administration from Sam Houston State University. He has led staff development sessions for a number of conferences, universities, and school districts across Texas and the nation, including the Texas Music Educators Association convention, the National Association for Music Education National Conference, the National School Board Association National Conference, and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. He will be leading the Music Administration Collaboration track at Conn Selmer Institute, which takes place June 11-14, 2023 at Bethel University in Indiana.
