Profile Highlights:
Jeff started with CutTime in 2021. In his role, Jeff helps arts educators in music, theatre, and dance work more efficiently to perform daily administrative tasks. Jeff continues to nurture educators and young artists alike through private lessons and community service. Jeff served as a music educator for 35 years in St. Johns County, Florida. During his teaching career, Jeff taught chorus, musical theatre, color guard / winterguard, piano, AP Music Theory, AICE music, band, and general music all at St. Augustine High School.
Jeff was a trombone major at Western Kentucky University (WKU). He taught high school band camps in the summer and while at WKU participated in the marching band, concert band, chorus and musical theatre. He also performed with the marching band as a color guard member, predominantly as a rifle. After graduating from WKU, Jeff was offered a job at St. Augustine High School where he started Coast One Winterguard which was a Scholastic World finalist in Winter Guard International (WGI) for ten years. During this time period, Jeff was a member of both the WGI Advisory Board and Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for the Florida Federation of Color Guard Circuit (FFCC). His choir programs received superior ratings at district and state festivals as well as performed throughout the state of Florida and around the country. Jeff directed two musical theatre productions a year creating sets, costumes, choreography, blocking and teaching the music.In addition to his work at CutTime, Jeff maintains an active presence in the fine arts community. He currently serves on the board of the Limelight Theatre, which provides quality artistic enrichment for St. Johns County through year-round theatrical performances, arts education and community engagement. During his tenure with Limelight Jeff has directed several shows, including Big Fish, The Music Man, and Bright Star. Jeff has served as an All County Honor Chorus conductor and his directing talents have benefitted numerous alumni groups, resulting in international appearances at festivals and The Vatican. He also continues to support choir and musical theatre programs at various Northeast Florida area schools.
