Profile Highlights:
Bill came to CutTime as a Customer Education Specialist after teaching public school band for 30 years in Odessa, TX, and college band for five years in Abilene, TX. He began teaching at a time when computers were just becoming the norm and has seen firsthand how they can be a remarkable tool for organizing music and other fine arts education programs. He performs regularly as Assistant Principal Bassoon with the West Texas Symphony in Midland, TX. In his spare time, he loves to travel and has taken students on many trips both in the US and abroad. Bill resides in Abilene, Texas with his mother and sister and his "child" Peanut!
Bill received a Bachelors of Music Education from Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) and a Masters in Bassoon from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). While a student at HSU, he performed as second bassoon in the Abilene Philharmonic. At CCM, he performed with CCM Philharmonia and the CCM Wind Ensemble and performed with orchestras in Richmond, IN, and Wheeling, WV. He plays second bassoon in the West Texas Symphony Orchestra in Midland, Texas, and plays in various churches in Abilene and Midland-Odessa. Bill has also performed with orchestras in San Angelo, Big Spring, and Corpus Christi, TX, and also sings in the choir at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Abilene. Bill loves to travel to Dallas to hear the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and to New York City to see Broadway shows!
